Vermont Art Sinks set out to design a bathroom sink with an irresistible appeal with the Underhill series. Brilliantly vibrant colors complement the earthy, rustic character of these stoneware sinks and create a sin with upright walls that enriches the appearance of any bathroom. The Underhill sinks are hand-created by a master craftsman on a potter’s wheel using a proprietary blend of stoneware clays that includes at least 33% recycled clays. The sink is fired for 18 hours at 2200°, the slow firing and slow cooling process not only enhances the appearance of the glaze, it adds to the strength and durability of the sink and creates excellent thermal shock properties. The sink’s finish is durable and easy to clean and care for. All Underhill sinks are compatible with standard US plumbing, and are easily installed. These custom-made sinks look amazing when installed as surface mount or vessel type sinks, or even partially countersunk.
